Twinning Project with Croatia: Strengthened internal control in the institutions

29th November 2018, Skopje - Macedonian institutions will learn from the experience of the European institutions on how to further internal control. Twinning Project “Further Improvement of Internal Control System”, funded by the European Union, was officially launched today. Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the Croatian Ministry of Finance, will implement the Project.

29th November 2018, Skopje - Denar 10.2 billion more is projected in 2019 Budget, allocated for health, education and social protection More funds have been allocated this year as well, in relation to 2017, for this purpose. We are continuously working on strengthening these sectors, thus investing in human potential and increased productivity. This was pointed out by the Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, at today’s presentation of “Systematic Country Diagnostic”, prepared by the World Bank.

13th November 2018, Skopje - Highest amount of funds so far has been projected in the Draft 2019 Budget for active employment measures. Denar 1.1 billion is allocated, being by 10% more in relation to 2018. If compared with 2016, this amount is increased by twice, i.e. it is almost three times higher in relation to 2014.

2nd November 2018, Skopje - Government securities will be listed on the Macedonian Stock Exchange. They will thus become available to foreign institutional investors as well, while increased demand will provide for lower interest costs for the country. This was announced by the Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, at the Sixth ERSTE Investors’ Breakfast.

7th September 2018, Skopje - Macedonian economy is moving in the right direction, whereby data of the State Statistical Office speaks in favour thereof, recording a growth of  3.1% of GDP in the second quarter. This was pointed out by Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski upon the Financial Stability Committee, also attended by the Governor of the National Bank Anita Angelovska Bezoska. Tevdovski said that Macedonia had the capacity to achieve the projected 3.2% growth.

Tevdovski: World Bank provides 70 million for better local roads

5th September 2018, Skopje - Around EUR 70 million will be invested for reconstruction and construction of local roads, which will be provided from the World Bank, Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski said today when signing the agreements for financing the municipal infrastructure under the Municipal Services Improvement Project.

5th September 2018, Skopje- For the purpose of improving the 20-km long road network and reconstructing a primary school, today, Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski signed agreements with the Mayors of Kavadarci, Kisela Voda, Ilinden, Centar, Zupa, Zelino and Studenicani. It is a matter of funds amounting to Denar 290.7 million aimed at infrastructure projects under the Municipal Services Improvement Project, implemented by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the World Bank. More than 25,00 citizens and 70 companies in the industrial zone in Ilinden will directly benefit therefrom.
