Fitch Agency affirmed the crediting rating of Macedonia

4th August 2017, Fitch Agency announced that it affirmed the existing credit rating of Macedonia, BBB with negative outlook.

Parliament adopted the Supplementary Budget

Being transparent for the unpaid liabilities - Address by Minister of Finance Tevdovski

Today, we announce the unpaid liabilities of government institutions, with 31st May 2017 as cut-off date. Review of unpaid liabilities we are to present, was made on the basis of data, which the budget users, the funds, the public enterprises and the municipalities submitted to the Ministry of Finance. Therefore, Ministry of Finance cannot guarantee their credibility.

Meeting with the Ambassador of Israel

20th July 2017, Skopje - Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski, PhD met His Excellency, the Israeli Ambassador to Macedonia, Dan Oryan.

Cooperation in the field of innovations, support and development of small- and medium-sized enterprises, as well as enhancement of the cooperation in the field of agriculture and education were discussed at the meeting.

Both parties confirmed the friendship relations among Macedonia and Israel, thereby pointing out they will continue to cherish this relationship.

New data on MoF website for greater transparency and accountability

17th July 2017, Skopje – Yesterday, Ministry of Finance, under the reforms for transparency and accountability, published new data not being previously available to the public. It is a matter of the most recent data on execution of the municipal budgets for the first half of 2017.

7th July 2017, Skopje - Supplementary Budget for increase of wages, support to domestic enterprises, job creation, as well as for retaining the youth in Macedonia.

6 th July 2017, Skopje - Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski PhD and Deputy Minister of Finance Shyrete Elezi PhD today met the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Macedonia, H.E. Mr. Charles Garrett.

Support to the reform processes and the priorities of the new Government in the field of public finances were pointed out at the meeting.

Ambassador stressed that Great Britain is Macedonia’s friend, supporting the country in  its integration and reform processes.


MoF: New website for better transparency of public finances

6th July 2017, Skopje - Ministry of Finance changed the structure of its website. In order to increase both transparency and accountability of public finances, special section “Statistics" is added on the official internet site, wherein, all important information is easily available such as: budget execution, public debt and state debt, macroeconomic indicators and statistical data.

Ministry of Finance repaid its debt in the amount of EUR 77.3 million towards Deutsche Bank

5th July 2017, SkopjeToday, Ministry of Finance has fully repaid the loan from 2012 towards Deutsche Bank, amounting to EUR 77.3 million.  Loan interest rate accounted for 6,456%, being intended to finance the budget deficit and refinance the liabilities falling due on the basis of regular repayment of the government debt.
