30th August 2016, Lider – Financing and Budget Parliamentary Commission commenced the debate on Supplementary Budget, aimed at ensuring funds for damage compensation for the floods that took place on 6th August.  Additional funds in the amount of EUR 36.4 million to fully compensate the flood-caused damages is proposed to be provided in the Supplementary Budget.

30th August 2016, Lider – Upward trend in the industry continues. According to recent data from the State Statistical Office, industrial production experienced 5.6% growth in the period January – July. Data also show growth of industrial production on monthly basis, hence growth in July 2016, compared to July 2015, accounted for 5.1%.

Minoski: Unemployment issued resolved systematically and on the long run

Macedonia has the lowest unemployment at the moment, and Government’s objective is to reduce it to 22%. In an interview for Kurir News Agency, Minister Minoski talked about the plans and the measures the Government undertakes to achieve this objective.

Minoski: EUR 22 million secured from the Government for the companies through the profit tax

Skopje, 24th August 2016 (MIA) – To the end of executing the payments more rapidly in case of natural disasters, as was the flood on 6th August, today Ministry of Finance proposed amendments to the Law on Budget, by applying summary procedure, providing the Ministry to reallocate funds up to 5% of the Budget.

Today, Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev, accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, and Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Dime Spasov, visited Stajkovci, a village affected by the floods.

Dimitriev informed the citizens that, starting today, Damage Assessment Commissions were on the field making the assessment and, once their work was completed, funds would be transferred to the citizens. One-off pecuniary assistance for the families having suffered losses of lives of their family members in the floods would also be launched soon.

Skopje, 6th July 2016 (MIA) – Realization of already commenced EU-funded projects, such as Demir Kapija – Smokvica highway, waste water treatment plant in Prilep and Bitola – Kremenica railway section, continues as according to the envisaged dynamics, Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, said.

In his interview for Kanal 5 TV, Minister Minoski explained that the decision to cancel EUR 27 million IPA funds refers to funds for which no projects are defined and agreed with the European Commission yet.

Skopje, 29th June 2016 (MIA) – Fiscal projections envisaged for 2015 are realized, some of the indicators are even overperformed. Growth higher than the projected one was achieved, export grew in relation to import, while unemployment rate of 24.6% was at the lowest level so far.

These are data presented in the 2015 Annual Budget Report, which the Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, elaborated on today before the members of the parliamentary Financing and Budget Commission.

Capital investments are at historically the highest level so far, regardless of the Supplementary Budget. In an interview for TV Nova, Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, said that capital investments remained at higher level within the Supplementary Budget compared to 2015, no capital project was going to be halted under the Supplementary Budget, while as regards the projects undergoing an intensified pace of implementation, there would be additional funds provided, such as for instance, Demir Kapija – Smokvica highway and the gasification project.
