Economic policies in the focus of Minoski’s meetings in Washington

Washington, 9th October 2016 (MIA) - Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, participated in World Bank and International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings in Washington.

Minoski had meetings with several investors, which are the existing bond holders of the outstanding Eurobond issues of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as with both IMF and WB representatives. Economic policies implemented by the Macedonian Government, as well as future projects to be coordinated with the goals set by these two international institutions, were discussed at the meetings.

- Most of the priorities of the Macedonian Government in the field of economy are fully coordinated with the World Bank priorities. We are thinking about projects the main focus of which will be development of the private sector, linking the domestic companies with the companies in the free economic zones, projects in the field of road construction, strengthening energy efficiency, as well as projects to contribute to digitalization of the projects offered by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Minoski said.
